On the capacity of multiple input erasure relay channels: The Non-degraded case
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider in this paper a network that consists of two senders and two receivers. We further assume that each sender could act as a relay for other communications. All channels connecting these nodes are supposed to be erasure channels where symbols are received correctly (error-free), or lost. This model is realistic for many practical scenarios in the context of wireless and sensor networks. In a previous works, we have addressed the capacity region of this network under physically degraded hypothesis. The non-degraded case is addressed in this paper. We derive a capacity bound for the proposed network and we show that it can be reached through a practical coding scheme based on MDS codes. We make also a comparison of the achieved rates compared to a simple time sharing of single sender relay channels.

Capacity rates of erasure channels in Single Hop Networks
This paper deals with finding the capacity rates for single hop networks in erasure channels. As the importance of erasure channels are well identified, this paper finds the capacity rates for complex multi sender relay network by using the concept of mutual information with respect to information theory concepts in terms of erasure probabilities. Even a comparative analysis is done between the...
متن کاملOn the capacity of multiple input erasure relay channels
In this paper we consider a network that consists of two senders and two receivers. We further assume that each sender could act as a relay for other communications. The channel connecting these nodes is supposed to be an erasure channel where symbols are received correctly without any error, or lost. This setting could be used to analyze the capacity of a realistic Ad-hoc network. From the net...
متن کاملOn the achievability of cut-set bound for a class of erasure relay channels The non degraded case
We consider an erasure relay network where the sender sends an information flow that can be received by a receiver and a relay. The relay forwards some part of the information and we assume that relay and sender transmission do not interfere with each other, and receiver is able to receive in parallel information that are sent from sender and relay on different channels. The interferences betwe...
متن کاملOn the Capacity Region of Broadcast Packet Erasure Relay Networks With Feedback
We derive a new outer bound on the capacity region of broadcast traffic in multiple input broadcast packet erasure channels with feedback, and extend this outer bound to packet erasure relay networks with feedback. We show the tightness of the outer bound for various classes of networks. An important engineering implication of this work is that for network coding schemes for parallel broadcast ...
متن کاملExtension of the Coverage Region of Multiple Access Channels by Using a Relay
From practical and theoretical viewpoints, performance analysis of communication systems by using information-theoretic results is important. In this paper, based on our previous work on Multiple Access Channel (MAC) and Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC), we analyze the impact of a relay on the fundamental wireless communications concept, i.e., coverage region of MARC, as a basic model for u...
